20 Years of Pottery
The Journey
I started handbuilding and throwing pottery in high school art class. When I came back for sophomore year I told the art teacher that I wasn’t doing her regular curriculum, just ceramics. She agreed, probably because I spent all my free periods and after school time in the studio the previous year.. and I was hooked.
After nearly 20 years of traditional pottery, I discovered 3D printed ceramics and found a new passion. Check out 3D Pottery, Pottery Math, and LF3DP for some of my explorations in digital ceramics fabrication!
Some videos of me doing things.
Loosely Reverse-chronological Gallery
Below is a tiny smattering of the massive pile of pottery I’ve made and given away over the last 20 years..
The problem is that I don’t actually know where the majority of this went. Sometimes I go to a friends house and get to re-visit something that I made like 10 years ago.
